Healing HealthCare Systems Founders Awarded Symposium Distinction Award
October 25, 2012 – Susan Mazer, Ph.D., and Dallas Smith are the recipients of a 2012 Symposium Distinction Award, which honors design teams and individuals who have made a profound contribution to the healthcare industry.
Mazer and Smith were honored in the Individual category, while the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago received the Team Award. Perkins Eastman Architects PC and Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center took home the User-Centered Award.

Healing HealthCare Systems, was founded in 1992 by Mazer and Smith, two acknowledged pioneers in the use of music as environmental design for healthcare settings.
